FUN2Learn is a game for learning and practicing foreign languages. It came into existence because I have always disliked learning new words and wanted to make the learning process as fun as possible.

FUN2Learn consists of 4 mini-games: Word Seek, Word Match, Hangman & Word Construct. Each of them are designed to help acquire the words.

Mini-Games

Word Seek

Word Match

Word Seek is a game where you are given a list of words hidden in a grid of letters. After finding the words in question the user is prompted for the meaning of the words. The user can choose from 3 possible answers out of which only one is the correct one.

Word Match has both the native and foreign words visible at once and the user has to connect the two by dragging a “line” from one to the other. If the user has made a mistake they can retry until they get it right.

Hangman

Word Construct

Hangman is a classic game played in school on blackboards. Unlike in school you can cheat a bit here by requesting to see a hint. This is probably the most addictive game of the four.

Word Construct lets the user construct the word from given letter groups written pieces of papers by rearranging them into the space given. The idea is quite simple, but playing it without using the hint button can prove to be a huge challenge.

Technical Details

FUN2Learn retrieves its word from Learn10, which provides 10 new words per day. This means that on the first day the user can learn those 10 words, on the 2nd day the user gets to learn another 10 words and revise the old ones, and so on.

Available Languages

With FUN2Learn you can practice the following languages: Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Welsh.
